If you don’t preach hell, you’re going there

In his three-part series on hell , John Gerstner relates how, after a strenuous Asian campaign to 25 countries, he and his wife had the opportunity to spend a few days on a Nile steamer. Gerstner spent those days reading very slowly through the Gospel of Matthew. He said that a central thread running through Matthew was Jesus speaking of hell, eternal hell.

It seems to me that a preacher who does not preach on hell is going there.

  1. It’s a crucial part of the whole Gospel message that Jesus preached about. If He talked about it, why do we think we don’t have to? You can’t talk about love and grace and leave everything else out, although that is what I hear most of anymore…..

    • “God’s got a great purpose for your life” preachers will have much to answer for Loris. The “purpose” is, for these, realising your vision and your inner creativity.
